The ICR Masjid offers a comprehensive summer school program designed to provide students with a balanced education, combining Islamic teachings with essential academic subjects. The program focuses on nurturing both the mind and spirit, ensuring students develop a strong foundation in faith, character, and knowledge during the summer break.
Information
Qur'an and Arabic Studies
- Students engage in Qur'an recitation with proper Tajweed (pronunciation).
- Memorization of selected Surahs and understanding their meanings.
- Basic Arabic instruction to enhance comprehension of the Qur'an and Islamic texts.
Islamic Studies and Theology
- Core teachings of Islam, including the five pillars and articles of faith.
- Study of Hadith (sayings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him).
- Lessons on Islamic history and the lives of the Prophets.
- Introduction to basic Fiqh (Islamic rulings) for everyday practices like prayer and fasting.
Character Development and Ethics
- Emphasis on moral values such as honesty, kindness, and respect.
- Stories from Islamic history to inspire positive character traits.
- Encouragement of good manners (Akhlaq) and proper conduct.
Academic Enrichment
- Reinforcement of subjects like Mathematics, Science, and English.
- Interactive learning through educational games, art, and creative projects.
- Workshops on public speaking, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Physical and Recreational Activities
- Sports and physical education to promote health and team spirit.

- Teaching the importance of zakat, sadaqah (charity), and helping those in need.
What Students Need to Know
- Dress Code : Students are expected to wear modest Islamic attire, with girls wearing hijab and boys dressing appropriately.
- Behavioral Expectations : Respect for teachers and peers, punctuality, and active participation are highly emphasized.
- Supplies : Students should bring their Qur'an, notebooks, pens, and other study materials.
- Spiritual Commitment : A willingness to learn and apply Islamic values in daily life.
- Parental Involvement : Parents are encouraged to support their children's learning by reviewing lessons at home and reinforcing Islamic teachings.
