The Islamic Center of Rowlett is a branch of the Muhammadia Madrasah based in Michigan, a traditional Sunni institution with origins of southeast Asia which is not connected to any political or religious group. This institution was founded by a Sunni Muslim brother in Michigan in the year 2002. ICR and Muhammadia alike are dedicated to promoting Islamic values and fostering unity within the Muslim community. With branches in Michigan and Florida, our goal is to convert this church into a vibrant and inclusive mosque, where the community can thrive to its full potential. By providing a welcoming space for prayer, education, and community engagement, we aim to create an environment that reflects Islamic heritage and encourages spiritual growth. Your support is crucial in making this vision a reality. Together, we can foster a stronger Muslim community, inspire future generations, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood. Alhamdulillah, we have made significant progress with the project and have already raised an impressive 1.2 million dollars through the generosity of our community. However, we urgently need an additional 1 million dollars to pay off the property. We urge everyone to support as much as they can, or give Qard al-Hasan (interest free loan) to reach our goal. Every donation, regardless of size, will make a difference in our journey to establish a vibrant and lively Islamic Center.
